OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational Therapy (OT) is provided for people of all ages who have suffered an illness or injury relearn the skills of daily life.

Occupational Therapy focuses on the physical and social needs of its patients while concentrating on their health, wellness, and quality of life.


At Phoenix PTSP, our experienced, licensed OT is also a certified hand therapist (CHT) specifically trained in upper extremity orthopedic rehabilitation. Treatment programs are customized for injuries to the upper extremity and promote functional independence. Our comprehensive approach to OT is grounded in total body wellness with a passion to assist you in living better.


Our OTs help people who have suffered from orthopedic injuries and conditions such as a stroke, spinal cord injury, or other neurological/musculoskeletal disorders. Typically these conditions can be physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabling.

At Phoenix, our job is to improve the patient’s ability to perform tasks, at their maximum potential, in their daily living and working environments. We also help them develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. Services provided may include:

• Customized treatment programs to improve one’s ability to perform daily activities.
• Custom splint and fabrication of both static and dynamic fittings.
• Manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.
• Specialized therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation, biofeedback, ultrasound, and iontophoresis.
• Neuro re-education of all types with specific adaptation for the hand.
