Lisa Ciaravella works with First Lady on her Child Obesity Initiative



What a great honor for Lisa and Phoenix Physical Therapy & Sports Performance. As many people know, Lisa offers her strength and conditioning knowledge to the WBNA's Washington Mystics each summer in Washington, DC. An even bigger honor was bestowed upon her recently.

The event, organized by the First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama, was part of her Child Obesity Initiative. It took place at on Tuesday May 25th at the White House. Lisa was joined by four other trainers from DC pro teams, as well as five of the District’s most highly ranked PE teachers. They broke into 5 pairs to work with groups of approximately 20 elementary school kids. The First Lady made brief remarks and participating alongside the students for the duration of the event.
