A native of Gastonia, N.C., Robinson is a practicing physical therapist (PT) in outpatient orthopedics with a passion for sports medicine. Robinson has been with Phoenix since its inception and serves as the Director of Therapy Services. Bringing over a decade and a half of physical therapy experience to Phoenix, she works closely with patients who have musculoskeletal dysfunctions, sport-specific injuries, post-operative orthopedic surgical repairs, worker's compensation injuries, and varying neurological and deconditioning disorders.
Robinson has been instrumental in implementing rehabilitation programs for some of the areas best high school athletes, weekend warriors, as well as athletes from the NBA, WNBA and MLB. A specialist is soft tissue dysfunctions, Robinson is trained in the progressive Myofasical Release Technique called "Dry Needling" and Graston Technique. She is certified in the Functional Movement Systems, and the Titliest Performance Institute's (TPI) Golf for Health Care Professionals. In 2007, Robinson completed the "Train the Therapist" program at Project Walk in Carlsbad, CA where she honed her skills in progressive Spinal Cord Injury recovery.
Robinson is a 1999 alumnus of Elon College where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine. She then continued on to graduate from Elon University's Masters of Physical Therapy program in 2002 and now serves on the Board of Advisors for Elon's School of Health Sciences.
