Amie is a native of Waukee, Iowa. She became interested in the field of Physical Therapy during high school when she had various injuries during softball and volleyball. Her interest in the profession of Physical Therapy continued to grow in college when she saw how her grandmother successfully recovered after having had a stroke.
Amie majored in Biology (Pre-Physical Therapy) at The University of Northern Iowa where she graduated with Honors. She obtained her Masters of Physical Therapy from The University of Iowa in 1998. Amie has been a practicing Physical Therapist for over 22 years with her focus on outpatient orthopedics and truly loves working with patients of all ages. In her free time, you can find Amie and her husband spending time together and with their two children as they compete in travel ice hockey, travel volleyball, and lacrosse.
