Kelly Ivey has been with Phoenix Physical Therapy since 2014 and currently serves as the Director of Physical Therapy at our Terrell location. She is a native of western North Carolina, growing up in the Asheville area. With over a decade of experience in outpatient orthopedics, she has a passion for post operative care, sports related injuries and balance dysfunctions. She is certified in multiple myofascial release techniques including Graston and functional dry needling. Dr. Kelly’s interest in physical therapy peaked in high school after having multiple sports related injuries requiring surgical intervention and physical therapy.
Dr. Kelly has a passion for health, wellness and athletics. She attended Erskine College, located in Due West, SC, on an athletic scholarship to play softball where she excelled. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and went on to attend Elon University where she obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2013.
In her spare time, you can find Dr. Kelly participating in Crossfit or other weight training, reading or listening to books and spending time with her husband Alex, who is also a physical therapist and their three golden retrievers, Jase, Piper and Sailor.
